Christmas Lights Exhibits in Utah

Photos of Christmas Lights exhibits at both Thanksgiving Point, Utah near Salt Lake City and also the "Festival of Lights" exhibit in Spanish Fork, Utah. These photos were taken during the 2009 Christmas Holiday Season.

Mirror Lake, Utah and Vicinity

These are photos I took of Utah Lake from Lincoln Beach Park and Marina near Provo, Utah on June 17th. 2009. As you can see, it was a cloudy and windy day which was stirring up small waves in the lake. The Lake is up at 4,500 feet above sea level.

Utah Lake, Near Provo, Utah

Photos I took up at Mirror Lake, Utah up in the Utah Unita Mountain range up at 10,050 feet above sea level. The past winter season snow was just starting to melt away. As you can see, a lot of the pine trees are dying and have turned brown.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens in Lehi, Utah

These are photos I took at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens near Lehi, Utah that covers ten acres (25 miles South of Salt Lake City next to the I-15 freeway.) Using my Sony DSC-H50 digital 9.1 Megapixel camera. A lot of nice close ups of flowers and plants.

Loveland Pass and Vicinity in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

Photos that I took while heading from Denver, Colorado to Utah while driving on the old US Highway 6 (By passing the Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70) which goes up over Loveland Pass at 11,900 feet at the Continental Divide so that I could take a few scenic photos.

Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Photo's I took of different exhibits at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, Colorado back on August 18th, 2007. I took a lot of photos of the Rock and minerals on display as well as the stuffed animal exhibit and The RMS Titanic exhibit.

Plants That I Grew on my Apartment Balcony in Denver, Colorado In The Spring and Summer of 2007. The petunia flowers were planted from seed and took about 12 to 14 days to germinate.

USS Arizona BB-39 Memorial, Pearl Harbor, Hi. April 18th, 2008.

These are photos that I received from my friend, Jon C. who took these photos while visiting the Battleship USS Arizona Memorial site in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The USS Arizona BB-39 was bombed and sunk on Dec 7th, 1941 with 1177 lives lost.

Cherry Creek State Park and Reservoir , Denver, Colorado

Photos I took of Cherry Creek State Park and Reservoir. The Park is located about 10 miles South of downtown Denver, Colorado and covers about 3,915 acres. 400,000 people attended Catholic World Youth Day at this park in August,1993 with Pope John Paul II

Augustana Lutheran Church In Denver, Co. and The Pipe Organ

The pipe organ installation at Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado. The pipe organ was built and installed by the Reuter pipe organ company. Many classical Concerts are held at this church, including the Vienna Boys Choir who were on tour.

Moon Eclipse Photos on August 28, 2007 from Denver, Co

These are photos I took of the eclipse of the moon that took place in the early morning hours of August 28th, 2007. The first photo starts at 3:00 Am and the last photo was taken at 4:24 AM with the moon nearing total eclipse with the moon taking on a red hue.

My Fluorescent Rock and Mineral Collections that glow under UV light

These are photos of my fluorescent rock and mineral collections. These rocks and minerals all pretty much look alike and look drab looking under normal white light, but when placed under an ultraviolet black light in the dark, they all glow different colors.
